Denny Mushrooms must be stored in the refrigerator and are best when used within several days of purchase. They should be handled with care, because fresh mushrooms bruise easily. Unopened packs of mushrooms store well in the refrigerator, but once the mushroom pack has been opened, they will keep better if stored in a paper bag. Avoid air-tight containers as this causes moisture condensation which speeds spoilage.

The ideal way to clean mushrooms is to wipe them clean with paper towel or a damp cloth. Mushrooms should not be soaked in water as they absorb water like a sponge.
A quick rinse in cold water is fine, as long as you pat them dry with paper towelling straight away. Clean only the mushrooms you’ll be using - unwashed mushrooms will last longer in your refrigerator
